Joints establish unity between the various bones that form the skeleton, and because of them that we can move. Soon, joint diseases interfere significantly in quality of life, since they are painful, disabling and restrict movement of the body. The most common joint disease osteoarthritis (degenerative disease that causes joint wear) and arthritis (joint inflammation).

 

 

The Harpagophytum procumbens (Devil's Claw) 

Has an anti-inflammatory action, with an analgesic effect. This product is particularly useful in the treatment of joint pain of inflammatory origin. Contains a mixture of several active compounds, and the more prominent the harpagosido, take the main therapeutic properties of the plant, and the sitoesterois. These inhibit the formation of prostaglandin synthetase, which participates in the inflammatory process, being more favorable in chronic cases. It has anti-radical activity. Besides being anti-inflammatory and analgesic, the Harpago is healing, spasmolytic, hypolipidemic, depurative, chologogue (stimulates the release of bile into the small intestine, facilitating the digestion of fatty foods), hepatoprotective and uricosuric diuretic (increases uric acid excretion in the urine, thereby reducing its concentration in blood). Therefore, its use is particularly useful in the case of rheumatic disease (arthritis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis), pain (joints, gout and rheumatism), uric acid and cholesterol, dyspepsia, cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder) and cholelithiasis ( presence of gallstones) and to strengthen the immune system and improve liver function. Several studies have shown that with the use of Harpago it was possible to reduce the dosage of NSAIDs (Non Steroid Anti-Inflammatory) required for the relief of pain caused by osteoarthritis.

 

Not recommended for use during pregnancy and lactation.

This product is well tolerated by diabetics.
