Borage (Borago officinalis)

It is a medicinal plant with hypoglycemic action, i.e. contributes to reducing the amount of glucose in the bloodstream. This justifies its high importance for diabetes.lt also has other properties of particular interest to this disease since it may be useful in development of complications which are characteristics.

It is tonic, with efficacy in states of general debility. Exerts an anti-inflammatory effect and is useful for problems in the airways, urinary tract (kidney and bladder inflammation), heart and liver (liver cirrhosis, gallstones). It may also be used in gout and rheumatic diseases.This plant has depurative activity, ie, has the capacity to purify the blood.lt diuretic, contributing to the alleviation of edema, especially in the legs.  Borago officinalis is extremely rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids (oleic, linoleic, palmitic, stearic, among others). These compounds provide an important protection against cardiovascular disease. It can also be used to treat various problems and soothe the skin (eczema, rubella, measles, freckles, varicella, wrinkles). It emollient and improves the strength of the epidermis. This plant is also antidiarrhetic, soothing and slightly sudorffera. Can be used in states of nervousness.

 

Banaba (Lagerstroemia speciosa)

The extract contains Banaba corosolic acid, a compound that stimulates the transport of glucose from the blood into the cells of the organism. As such, it is important for the regulation of blood glucose levels. Studies have shown that this plant has the capacity to promote transport and reabsorption of glucose at the cellular level (similar to the action of insulin).The corosolic acid exerts a hypoglycemic effect, acting by inhibiting gluconeogenesis (synthesis of new glucose molecules) and stimulation of glycolysis (breakdown of glucose) in the liver. Also maintains normal insulin levels and controls the appetite, promoting weight loss.The effect is similar to that of insulin, without synergistic action. The extract of Banaba has also other compounds that potentiate its hypoglycemic activity.

 

Green Tea (Camellia sinensis)

Green tea has immense therapeutic properties.According to studies, has a strong antioxidant action, by its content in flavonoids. Contributes to the prevention of premature aging and of many diseases, particularly various types of cancer (especially in the intestine, esophagus, lung and skin). Another significant action is well documented and this plant is its role in effective adjuvant regimens slimming and anti- cellulite. It lipolytic has the ability to eliminate fats. Its efficacy in hypercholesterolemia by reducing blood cholesterol levels. The flavonoids and proanthocyanidins contained in this plant allow it to be cardiotonic and venotonica. Chromium picolinate
